As a graphic designer, designing a poster for Captain Phillips would require a good understanding of the storyline and the characters involved. The poster should be visually appealing and convey the essence of the movie.

Next, consider the color that would best represent the movie’s mood themes. In the Captain Phillips movie, I put Tom Hanks as the main focal point against the background of an ocean, a ship, and the pirates. I also included the text that the movie is based on a true story so the viewers could empathize with it.

I made sure it was visually balanced and, from a distance, should entice the viewer to the movie, so it captured people’s attention.
